Tombs of Darius, Xerxes. Inscription mentioning Xerxes. The Serpentine Column…this last being made from Persian loot taken at Plataea, now in Istanbul/Constantinople—moved from Delphi (where it also had gold columns to go along with it long since looted because gold) because Constantine thought it would look nice in his shiny new hippodrome…and then beaten up by Crusaders, Turks, ravages of time…still there, though….mostly…
One of its heads can be found in the Istanbul Archaeological Museum…
